Registration Steps

Step One:
Verify that your family can swim Monday-Friday,
10 minutes per day for 6 weeks.

Step Two:
Consult your calendar. Time spent at the pool totals 20 minutes. What will be best for your family?

Step Three:
Contact Me
Request a time slot. Emailing me your child's schedule helps determine when you can swim

Step Four:
Register Your Child with ISR
(A link provided from me )
*$105, non-refundable to ISR

Step Five:
Print & Sign Registration Form Emailed as a PDF attachment file from ISR, once accepted
  Step Six:
1.  Pay Poolside, $90/wk
2.  Inform your Instructor you want to utilize PayPal.

Why Teach A Baby to Swim?

"The circumstances surrounding death by drowning provides a jarring social commentary. The highest drowning fatality rate is for children under the age of one year." Edward Rubenstein M.D. Scientific American Medicine, Vol. 8, III, 1985.

Drowning for children under the age of four years is an epidemic in the United States. In Florida, Arizona, California, and Texas, drowning is the No.1 cause of accidental death for that age group; and nationally, it ranks second only to automobile accidents as the most prominent cause of accidental death. Eighty-six percent of these tiny victims drown while fully clothed; and usually... the parent "turned her back for just a second".. and the infant was gone. If you can watch your infant or child every second, then you need not further concern yourself with ISR lessons.

The ignorance and misconceptions about supervision and infant swimming are astounding. For instance, you may have read or heard that babies can swim "naturally." That is false. All swimming behaviors must be taught. If swimming was "natural" for a baby, why do so many drown each year? Consider this too, where you live is one concern, where you vacation is another. Lesson Schedule:
Arrive 10 minutes early
Read your Parent Resource Book -mailed to you

Items to Bring:
BUDS Sheet, starting Sunday 
Three Towels Daily
Reusable ISR Swim Diapers (2)
Child's Bathing Suit (optional)
Registration Form from ISR
Welcome Digital Packet Forms

Poolside BUDS Sheet:
Your instructor will guide you through a verbal Poolside intake form daily, before your child's lesson

Food:
No food 2 hours prior to lessons, especially high fat or dairy based foods.  This including sips of juice & water.  
No apple products Monday-Friday

Parental Support:
Offer your child encouragement & praise during lessons.  Your are their example & cheerleader!
